Day Fifty-Six Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plant's
Ali: I continued growing my plants and am very saddened to say that this will be the very last blog update. I found this an amazing experience to understand and learn more about plants and how they develop to become a vital part of our world. Today, we finished our backdrop and I have completed putting together our binder. I am very excited for the plant show. My tallest plant now measures in at thirty-seven centimeters in length. Thank you for joining the adventures in our group. Farewell.

Miles:Something that hasn't happened in a while, just happened overnight! My plant grew approximately about 2~2.5cm! My plant is now 9.4cm tall. I'm very
impressed with my carrot. Plants are an amazing creature that helps our environment significantly. Cannot, express my feeling about the growth of my carrots. Again, I'm very proud of my carrots. It's remarkable how a plant can grow overnight. The growth of the carrot got me motivate
d to continue watering my plant and providing them with more solar energy/sunlight.

Nikita: We finished our tri-fold backdrop today during lunch. Everything is coming together nicely. Tomorrow we are all going to dress professionally and promote our nursery at the plant show. I also have to bring in carrots and ranch and Ali is going to bring in the carrot cake. Tonight i am going to select the best plant I have to take in tomorrow for the show! I am very excited!!!

Day Fifty-Five Of Growing

Ali: My plants has continued growing. I have just watered my plants and measured them. My tallest plants is now at a height of thirty-six centimeters in length. Nikita just got the 4-Way Analyzer today and is going to send me the results tomorrow. Our group also met and worked on the backdrop for our project. We are hoping to complete it during lunch at the library and complete our project. We are very proud of our progress. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: Today was a busy day mostly spent in getting stuff together for the plant show. During lunch we worked on our backdrop. We are planning on finishing it tomorrow at lunch. I got the 4-way analyzer today to test our soil. I will do the tests today and send the results to Ali because he is in charge. I also am going to make the tabs to put in the soil. We only have a few more things left to do before we will be all done for the plant show!

Miles:
Today, I noticed that my carrot has extended their leaves, in order to receive maximum amount of sunlight. They also started to grow another stem that grows right between
two stems. It was very interesting how these plants were adapting to the environment.
A slow movement/growth, but very interesting. As always, I'm giving my plant half a cup of water and providing them with plenty of solar energy from my lamp.

Day Fifty-Four Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: I continued growing my plants. I also watered my plants with their alloted amount of daily water. I just measured my plants and saw that the longest one of my plants measured in at thirty-five centimeters in length. I hope that my plants can continue growing. Adam brought the printed out brochure for our project today, meaning that once Nikita brings the cover, our project will be complete. I cannot wait to see our finished product. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: We are almost done with everything for the plant show! We also decided to make a poster board backdrop to enhance the presentation of our plants. We talked about who should bring in the plants for the plant show. Adam and Ali's plants are doing quite well so most likely they will be bringing in the plants for the three bigger cups. Me and Miles will be bringing in our plants for the three smaller cups. The plant show is going to be exciting!

Miles: The plant show is this Friday and our group seems to be very prepared for the plant show. We made a poster board to present our plant. All the buisness cards and brochures are made. For the plant show, Ali and Adam decided to bring plants for the bigger cups and Nikita and I decided to bring plants for the smaller cups. We've been preparing for this plant show for about a month, so I hope our group's presentation will be nice and smooth.

Adam: Today we decided to make our project mire informative and appealing. We will make a tri-fold and business cards.

Day Fifty-Three Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: Our group has continued growing our plants with the upmost care. I have also continuing growing my plants. After watering them, I also measured my plants. My tallest plant is about thirty-four centimeters in length at this point. Our group is almost finished with our work. Our group is finished with everything except the 4-Way analyzer and the plant show itself. Adam is also bringing the brochure tomorrow, and Nikita is bringing the cover on Tuesday, thus allowing the brochure to be complete. See you tomorrow!

Adam:
Today we were handed our pots that will hold our plants on presentation day. Our group decided that I would bring two large pots home since I have the largest carrots. I hope our groups carrots meet the expectations of the buyers.

Day Fifty-Two Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued to grow, and I have also continued to water them daily. My tallest plant is still thirty-four centimeters in length. After going to the library, we managed to complete the grower's guide for our consumers. We hope that this guide will be effective in providing our consumers with instructions as to how their plants will be brought home and grown to be effectively grown. Adam will take the brochure file home to print and bring it back to school on Monday. We will continue to finish everything needed for our project to be effective. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: The meeting at the library was very productive yesterday. We finished the brochure which looks very good! Also, we realized that we were missing one of the macroscopic diagrams so I am going to do that. We dont have that much left to do! i think we are in good shape for the plant show. My plants are also doing fine!

Adam:
Today we met at the library for an hour and a half so that we could put the pictures together into our journal. We will present this Friday and hopefully enhance our project throughout the week.

Day Fifty-One Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali:  We are all prepared to go to the library to finish the brochure. Everyone in the group is also bringing their parts of their journals to the library to combine them into one creation that will be used to instruct all other groups. I hope that our brochure will also be effective in teaching our consumers. After watering my plant, I measured my plants. After turning on my lamp, I noticed that my longest plant is thirty- four centimeters in length. See you tomorrow!

Day Fifty Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued growing, and I have also continued providing my plants with their daily alloted amount of water. After measuring my plants, I noticed that my plant light still remaining off has limited growth, with my plants still at thirty-three centimeters. I will probably turn on my light tonight. Our group met during lunch and decided that the brochure will be completed on Saturday at the library. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: My plants are doing well! Today we met at lunch and decided that the brochure should be finished at the library this Saturday. We will all work on it and contribute equally. As for my plants, I am watering them daily and I am rotating the pot around everyday so that the plants dont lean too much on much side.

Day Forty-Nine Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued to grow. I have also continued to provide my plants with their alloted amount of water. My tallest plant still remains at thirty-three centimeters in length. Our brochure is almost completely planned out, with only its construction remaining. I hope that it will look nice, allowing us to instruct our consumers how to properly grow their plants. See you tomorrow!

Day Forty-Eight Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: I have continued growing my plants. I have also continued providing my plants with their daily alloted amount of water. My tallest plant is now at a length of thirty-three centimeters, which I find completely outstanding. My group has continued meeting during lunch and have planned to go to the library to finish the brochure, which we will place in the journal. I cannot wait to turn in this project to be analyzed and interpreted by our peers. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: Today we decided to meet at the library again this weekend to work on the brochure and put all the diagrams together. My plant is still growing at a slow rate. However, I am happy that my group's plants are doing good! I hope that my plants will grow some more before the plant show.

Day Forty-Seven Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued to grow continually. I have also watered my plants their daily alloted amount of water. After measuring my plants today, I realized that they have not grown yet, which is probably due to he lamp being turned off last night to allow the light bulb a rest. I think that my plant is dependent upon this lamp, as there is no sunlight directly hitting the leaves. I will turn the light back on later. See you tomorrow!

Day Forty-Six Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plant
Ali: I have continued to grow my plants and gather the final information for my carrot plant. This information will later be placed i the brochure next weekend. I have also continued providing my plants with their daily source of water, as well as measuring their height. As of today, my tallest plant is thirty-three centimeters in length, which is phenomenal. For a few hours, my plant was placed on the window sill, but quickly replaced in its original location. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: Today i noticed that my a few of my plants started developing some more leaves. This means that they will soon develop more secondary leaves and become a lot fuller. I cannot wait to see this change in all my plants! i have continued to water them daily. Today, I also made the cover page for the information binder and I made business cards to be used for marketing purposes.

Day Forty-Five Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued the growth, and are developing a minimum of three diverging shoots per seed. The leaves are now leafy and sturdy. I have continued watering them the daily alloted amount of water. Our meeting today was successful and allowed us to put the final touches on our project. The only remaining portions of our project are the brochure and the 4-Way Analyzer. Our brochure will completed next Saturday, while our 4-Way Analyzer will be done over the week. I hope we will be successful in our conquest to success. See you tomorrow!

Day Forty-Four Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plant has continued growing at an excellent rate. I have also continued nurturing my plant by providing it with its alloted amount of water. My tallest plant continues growing at a rate of thirty-two and one-half centimeters. My plants have evolved into a jungle of various leaves weaving around to undergo photosynthesis. My roots have also developed a complex structure, with a complex network that even extends above the soil at some points. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: My plants are growing at a very slow rate. They are little more than 3 inches. The plant show is quickly approaching so we have been discussing what is still left to be done. We decided that we are going to dress formally and professionally to add to the effect. I am excited for April 1st!

Day Forty-Three Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued growing and developing into more complex plants that will be effective in showcasing our group during the plant show. I have also continued growing my plants by watering them and nurturing them as effectively as possible. My tallest plant is still thirty-two and one-half centimeter. I have continued planning out the best route to present our information during the show. See you tomorrow!

Day Forty-Two Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued growing and evolving into more complex plants that will be available to be sold and displayed. I have continued watering my plants will their daily allowance of water. My tallest plant is now thirty-two and one-half centimeters in length. I have constructed ideas for our group's brochure pamphlet for consumers. I hope that my plants will continue growing. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: My plants are still quite small compared to the rest of my group's. I hope that they will show some rapid periods of growth. I have also been working on my diagrams for the binder. At our next meeting we plan to talk about marketing strategies too. i will keep you updated!

Day Forty-One Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued growing at a rapid rate, which has been excelled by the water source I have been providing to my plants. My tallest plant is now thirty-two inches in total length. I hope my plant can continue growing effectively. I have completed the drawings my group is in need of for an effective journal. We are also planning to complete the brochure for purchasers on one of the next weekends. Nikita is also producing little tags that we shall place in the soil of our plants on plant day. We hope our buyers will be interested in our products. See you tomorrow!

Adam:
Today I decided that I have enough room to put in all of my left over seeds from the beginning. Hopefully now at the end of the project I will have large and little carrots.

Day Forty Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plant
Ali: My plant has continued growing and developing into a more complex plant. I have continued watering my plants daily. My plant is now thirty-one centimeters in length. We had our meeting at the library today, which was very successful, as the group is now certain upon our duties and they are quickly being completed. I am highly proud to be part of my group. My main areas of over-looking are costs, soil, the journal, and the types of cells. I cannot wait until my plants are successful in showing how much my group cares about its plants. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: Today the group met at the public library to discuss our progress on the diagrams. We also divided up the rest of the pages needed for the information binder. I am doing the title page, bibliography page, and two diagrams. Lastly, we decided to make a brochure to provide even more information to the potential buyers. We plan to meet again next weekend to compile all the parts together and work on the brochure. My plants havent seemed to grow that much since the last time i put up a blog post. ):

Day Thirty-Nine Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plant
Ali: i have continued growing my plants, as well as providing them with their daily source of water. My tallest plant has grown about one-half of a centimeter, but has diverged, thus causing it to lose its visual height. Despite being thirty and one-half centimeters, it is no longer considered the "tallest," in terms of elevation. However, it is still the longest plant. See you tomorrow!

Day Thirty-Eight Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued their growth, and I have continued to water my plants daily. My tallest plant is now thirty centimeters. However, I noticed that my plant is becoming withered, so I continued to water them and decrease their amount of light. So, my plants may not grow as quickly tomorrow, as their light source will be absent. I hope that our project will be considered one of the best at the plant show. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: Today I noticed that a few of my plants had fallen over. I think this is because they were leaning too much towards the window which provides them with a light source. From now on I am going to rotate the pot everyday to prevent this from happening to any of the other plants. I am also watering them everyday.

Day Thirty-Seven Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plant has continued to grow and gain girth. I have also continued watering my plants the daily amount they are alloted. My tallest plant now measures in at twenty-nine centimeters, which I am very excited about. Our meeting today discuses our plans to go to the library each weekend to finish our project. Our work is becoming more and more close to being entirely complete. I cannot wait until the plant show. See you tomorrow!

Day Thirty-Six Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: My plants have continued to grow, and I have continued to supply them with their daily sources of water. My tallest plant has grown another centimeter to measure in at about twenty-eight centimeters in total height. I believe that my plants will soon be tall enough to show the ability of my group to produce bigger and better plants. Our group is planning to have a meeting during lunch tomorrow. We have assigned the illustrations we must complete, and our journal is truly coming along. Our plants will hopefully continue to grow. See you tomorrow!

Nikita: Compared to my group's plants, my plants are still quite small. They are a little more than three inches right now. The plant show is approaching quickly so I hope they grow significantly before then.

Day Thirty-Five Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: I watered my plants as I usually do. My plants are now twenty-seven centimeters in total height, as to which I am ecstatic. I hope my plants will be able to grow at least another five centimeters before the show. We have completely planned our strategy for the success of our group, which includes wearing formal outfits during the plant show. Our meetings are becoming more frequent and our project is becoming more complete. See you tomorrow!

Adam:
Today I Turned my plants around because I noticed that since they grow towards the sun, the plants are severely tilted to one side.

Day Thirty-Four Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: I have continued growing my plants and watering them daily. My plants are now twenty-six centimeters in the tallest plants. Our group had a meeting where we discussed how to approach making the journal and the brochure for the customers that purchase our plants. We have chosen to illustrate the various types of cells, as well as the roots and shoots systems, as well as providing a description underneath each picture. I hope my plants will continue growing for the plant project.

Nikita: Today we had a meeting at the library where we discussed what still remains to be done before the plant show. We divided up the plant drawings and brainstormed some marketing strategies. My plants are still doing well. As of now they are about 2 1/2 inches tall and are doing well! This week i plan on working on the diagrams which i have to do, and then next week we can put all of it together!

Miles: There was another biology meeting at the library. We discussed the materials that we needed for the plant project. Everyone in our group were assigned to do fair amount of work and was due by the next week, so that we'll have a basic idea of what we need. I needed to draw diagrams of the plants root stem and their primary growth. Hope everything turns out well and everyone finishes their share.

Day Thirty-Three Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: I have continued growing my plants everyday. I have continued watering them with their daily amount of one-half cup of water each day. My plants have grown another half of a centimeter to measure in at twenty-five centimeters in total height. This is substantially larger than how tall my plants once were.

Day Thirty-Two Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: The process of my plants growing has continued with my daily watering. My tallest plant has now grown to about 24 and 1/2 centimeters, which is one of the highest amounts recorded in Coach Wimpey's class. I have also continued researching my plants with the up-most interest. We have also begun constructing the journal our team will present on the day when our plants will be judged. We hope to include effective illustrations and explanations of how our plants function in their growth to become larger. We may even include an illustration and explanation of monocotyledonous roots. See you tomorrow!

Adam: today I noticed that the roots had grown too big because the roots were sticking out of the bottom of the pots. I got a bin, filled the bottom with rocks for drainage, added soil and moved the plants into it.

Day Thirty-One Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: Today, I continued to water my plants and measure them as usual. I am excited upon seeing that my tallest plant now stands at twenty-four centimeters in height. I have now realized that growing my plants indoors was a much better idea than growing them outside, as my yard has been flooded by a torrential waterfall of rain. If my plant were outside, they would have surely drowned. Nevertheless, I have continued cherishing my plants, as well as pruning off dead leaves to enhance the aesthetics of my plants. I hope my plants will grow taller by tomorrow! See you tomorrow!

Miles: The weather seems to be loosening up a bit. I'm glad my plants were inside because there were significant amount of rainfalls in the last few days; however, the weather seems to be warm and sunny outside. Later during the week, I might consider my plants to stay outside for natural sunlight. I continued to make measurements of my plant and is still approximately about 14cm tall in height. As always, I'll provide my plant with half cup of water and constant solar energy for my plant.

Nikita: The weather these last few days has been quite bad, so I haven't been putting my plants outside. It has also been very cloudy so my plants haven't been receiving a lot of sunlight. The havent showed any significant growth over the last few days. Hopefully they will continue to grow without any problems.

Day Thirty Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: I have continued watering and measuring my plants. My tallest plant now measures in at about twenty-three centimeters in height, which is great. Upon running my fingers over my plants, I realize that they have a tremendous amount of root hairs to absorb more minerals and water than if it were simply only the plant that would absorb such nutrients. I have also begun turning my lamp on once more to continue the growth of my plants. I fear that I may have slightly over-watered my plants, so I will slightly decrease their water uptake for a day or two. See you tomorrow!

Miles: My plant has continued to grow with passion. I figured that carrots have a compound leaf structures. When the seed first sprouted, it looked like it was going to have a simple leaf structure, but as it started to grow, I could tell that it was a compound leaf. So far, my plant is approximately about 14cm tall. My plant looks beautiful! I will continue to water my plant and provide constant sunlight.

Day Twenty-Nine Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: I have continued watering my plants and measuring my plants everyday. I believe that my plants benefited from not being in the light, as they have be completely relieved of their browning. I think this was caused by too much direct sunlight. My plants have also grown half a centimeter to measure in at twenty-two and one-half centimeters in height. I hope that my plants will be able to continue growing. See you tomorrow!

MilesMy plant has grown 0.2cm more! The growth was beyond my predictions! I'm so proud of my carrot! If my carrots keep growing at this pace, then it'll be magnificent. I can't imagine how my carrots would look in 2~3week. I'm hoping that it'll look like those carrots that successful farmers grow at their farm. With just a little bit more time and effort, I'm sure my carrots can look as half as good as the carrots the farmers grow. In fact, my carrots will look better than the carrots that farmers grow. In a hope for an improvement, I continue to provide my plants with light and half a cup of water everyday.
NikitaThe extra seeds that I had planted a few days ago have sprouted!! The original plants have also shown great improvements! I have started watering my plants with a spray bottle instead of using a cup. This provides water to the plants in a gentler and more even way. Also, this way water can be sprayed directly on the leaves without hurting the plant. So far, my plants are making great progress!

Day Twenty-Eight Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plant
Ali: My plants have continued to be watered and measured daily. Sadly, my tallest plant has not grown dramatically in height over the past day. I believe this to be because I turned off the lamp that acts as my light source for one day. I turned off this lamp due to the concerns my mother had of starting a fire. Hopefully my plants will continue to grow, despite the immense amount of light that will be absent tonight. See you tomorrow!
Miles: My carrots look very healthy and pleasing. I don't see a big change in growth, but I'm sure it's still working it's way up. I predict my plants to grow at least 0.1cm taller. It's not big change in growth, but it'll make a difference in height in the end. I hope there are some carrots growing beneath the soil because that's the most important part of the project. I want my carrots to have a bright orange color and long/wide. If my carrot has all these characteristics, then I'm pretty sure it's healthy and delicious! As always, I'll continue to provide my plant with twelve hours of light and half a cup of water.

Nikita:
My plants are continuing to grow. They seem to be healthy because they are not showing any signs of mineral deficiencies. Also, i put my plants outside for about an hour to bask in the natural sunlight. I don't think that the actual carrot has started to grow yet because that takes a much longer time.

Day Twenty-Seven Of Growing

Ali's Growing Plants
Ali: I have continued watering and measuring my plants daily. My tallest plant has grown another centimeter, thus placing it at a height of twenty-two centimeters. The roots have also continued expanding farther down in my soil. I have noticed a few seeds in my soil that still have not germinated. Though it depresses me, I hope that they will be able to sprout quickly in the near future. I will continue to keep you updated. See you tomorrow!

Miles: It's a new month and the plant contest is coming up! As always, I'm giving maximum solar energy from my lamp and half cup of water everyday. My tallest plant is now approximately about 10.1cm tall. It's amazing how my carrot is growing with a light from a lamp. Soon or later, it'll grow up to 20~30cm tall! Hopefully. I'm working very hard to provide everything my carrot needs in order to grow better. I want my carrot to be very healthy, so that it'll look and taste good for the plant contest. I'll continue to provide my plant with light twelve hours a day and with half a cup of water.
